Bob Radford on NEWSCENTER 5 is an idiot. Just my 2 cents worth.
Anyways he said Rye Cove won during highlights however the score posted on the screen showed Coeburn winning.

I agree, he can't even pronounce the towns properly. And they always seem to be in such a hurry to get the report over with. And I don't believe he even pays attention to what he is saying. Totally inept in what he is trying to do.
We need Paul Johnson back.. 100% better than Bob Radford.
Whoever that one guy is,
He sure can't prounounce Tihlee to save his life.. haha

Does anyone know what offensive formation they used this week? I sure hope it was the T.

Yeah, centennialdawg, they used the T a LOT tonight. They did mix in some of the I and shotgun, though. But it was predominantly T. Kind of like going back to what works while mixing in some of the other stuff. Overheard the stats guy saying Appy had 320-some yards rushing and only 93 passing. I like the passing game, no matter who the QB is, but I like seeing them win more.
A question about C-wood. After the game the brought their guys back out and made them run. What's up with that? I mean yeah they lost, but they seemed to play pretty hard and never gave up.
It might be them old woman glasses he wears.

Figured Coeburn would take down Rye Cove.. especially with the way some of those backs ran against big ol' Gate City!
Sounds like it was a close game nevertheless.

Other than one long run by # 6, the RC D effectively contained the running game for Coeburn. RC was their own worst enemy, killing several drives with fumbles and an INT. The score does not reflect how much RC moved the ball, and how little Coeburn did. That is reflected in the totals with RC 289 yards vs 180 for Coeburn. Almost half of that 180 came on the run by # 6 who rushed from deep in Coeburn territory to near the RC 10 yard line. RC losts 4 fumbles, three of them stopping sustained drives. A muffed punt attempt gave Coeburn their only other serious scoring threat. They did have one last opportunity while near the RC 40 as they had a wide open receiver miss a pass in the last 3 minutes that could have given them the game.
